Why We Serve During Worship… For Lutherans, worship stands at the center of our life of faith. Through God’s word, water, bread, and prayer we are nurtured in faith and sent out into the world.
Connected with and central to everything we do, worship unites us in celebration, engages us in thoughtful dialogue, and helps us grow in faith. It grounds us in our Christian and Lutheran roots while demonstrating practical relevance for today’s world.
The word “liturgy” means “the work of the people.” With that in mind, the Lutheran liturgy (worship service) is meant to be participatory. Not a show to watch, you are invited to sing, to pray, to read, to speak, to serve as we actively worship God together. Worship at Christ the Lord is warm, friendly, and open to all.
How you can serve …With the return to four worship services, on September 12 we are rebuilding the team of servants that help to provide the warm, friendly, open experience we Lutherans pride ourselves on.

The 8:00 and 11:00 services will be traditional while the 9:00 and 10:00 services will be contemporary.
