The church council is excited to announce that we will have two worship services at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. beginning the first Sunday of May. Seating will be limited to 50 people per service and preregistering is still needed.
We will also offer communion. Holy Communion will be served on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month during the 9:00 a.m.service and during the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at the 10:30 a.m. service. Communion will be celebrated at both services on high holy days such as Pentecost. Sealed communion wine and wafer will be picked up from a table as you enter the sanctuary and we will commune from our seats. Face coverings and temperature checks will still be required. For those who like to view from home or listen from the parking lot, those options will still be available. Communion wine and wafer will be brought out to the parking lot on the days and times that we are communing inside.
To do this, we will need more people to help welcome parishioners as they enter the church for temperature checks and ushers to help with seating people. We would also love to have people read the scripture readings. In next week’s eNews we will invite you to volunteer as you feel called to serve at the service of your choice.
While we will still not sing, there will be opportunities to participate in the liturgy like responsive readings and psalm readings.
We are excited to offer these new options as we slowly and safely return to our regular habits one day in the future. Thank you for all that you do to support our congregation. You have been overwhelmingly helpful and our hearts go out to you.
In His Service, Pastor Bob
